Our Team

Meet the Custom Building Network team – a group of like-minded individuals who are dedicated to creating exceptional residences in Whistler, BC. Our team is composed of skilled professionals who reside throughout the region, from Squamish to Pemberton, bringing a wealth of local knowledge and a deep connection to the area.

We specialize unique custom homes and fine finishing carpentry, ensuring that every detail of our homes meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and elegance. Our passion for precision and excellence is evident in every project we undertake, from custom millwork to intricate interior detailing.

Beyond our professional expertise, we share a collective love for the mountains and the active lifestyle they offer. Whether mountain biking through rugged trails or skiing down pristine slopes, our team embraces the outdoor adventures that Whistler is renowned for. Director

Mike Ciebien

Mike Ciebien starting in the Construction Industry right after finishing a Bachelor’s Degree at University of Western Ontario. While working on several prestigious historic renovations in Montreal, Mike developed a profound appreciation for design and architecture. He developed a keen interest in building science and was a guest lecturer at the McGill School of Architecture. 

Moving to Whistler, BC in 1993, Mike was able to combine his passion for the outdoors with the craft of building homes. He has a profound appreciation of what draws people to an outdoor lifestyle and what our clients hope to achieve with their mountain home. 

With over 35 years of experience in upscale, architectural building projects, Mike brings a level of expertise that allows for strong collaboration with the design and engineering teams. As someone who does first hand research of new and time honoured building techniques, he is able to put together an informed approach to all CBN projects including some of Whistler’s most complex builds. Mike is keen to share his experience with the CBN staff and has surrounded himself with a curious, hard working and skilled team.

Genevieve Ciebien

Originally from Quebec, Genevieve has made Whistler her home, embracing the vibrant mountain lifestyle and hitting the slopes every winter. With a Law Degree from Université de Montréal and a strong background in sales, she brings extensive expertise to her role at CBN Enterprises, where she oversees all administrative and financial operations. Before co-founding CBN Enterprises with Mike, Genevieve played a key role in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler/Vancouver, deepening her connection to the region. With a passion for creating exceptional homes and a dedication to operational excellence, Genevieve is instrumental in transforming clients’ visions into reality.

Stephanie Martin

Stephanie is an integral part of CBN Enterprises as our Project Coordinator and Office Administrator. Originally from Ontario, she was drawn to Whistler’s active lifestyle in the mountains and vibrant community in 2010. Now settled in Pemberton, BC, she takes great pride in her newly built home—a testament to her and her husband’s craftsmanship. Whether she’s pedaling trails or shredding the slopes, Stephanie approaches both work and play with dedication. With her expertise in client relations, project organization and team coordination, Stephanie ensures seamless operations within our organization.

Colin Fisher

Meet Colin, a Red Seal carpenter and seasoned project manager with two decades of building experience. With a passion for precision and a commitment to excellence, Colin seamlessly blends craftsmanship with leadership in every project. His extensive expertise spans start to finish projects in high-end custom home building and renovations.  From intricate woodwork to complex construction, Colin’s hands-on experience ensures successful outcomes. With a reputation for exceeding expectations and delivering on time and budget, Colin Fisher is your trusted partner for turning visions into reality.

George Perry

Born near Bristol, England, George’s love for mountains led him to Whistler for a gap year after university. Fast forward 16 years, now a Canadian citizen calling Squamish home, he brings over a decade of hands-on expertise across every facet of construction. George’s meticulous attention to detail and comprehensive understanding of the entire construction process make him a standout in custom home construction. From initial concepts to final execution, he delivers tailor-made solutions that surpass expectations and withstand the test of time.

Ryan Murfitt

With 25 years of hands-on experience in both luxury house construction and restaurant design-build, Ryan brings a unique blend of expertise as a project manager. A journeyman carpenter with technical knowledge in all stages and aspects of a build, Ryan employs a holistic and collaborative approach to Project management. Beginning his career in Vancouver, then completing projects in New Zealand and Montpellier, France he then returned home to Vancouver. Wanting to combine his love of the mountains and passion for architectural builds he relocated with his family to Whistler in 2014. Earning a reputation for delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining craftsmanship and commitment to  excellence.  Creating inviting spaces suited to a client’s personal vision from conception to completion. Ryan values being a part of the dynamic architectural landscape in Whistler.
